The chemical name (9S)-6′-methoxy-deoxycinchonin-9-ol, molecular formula C20H25N2O2, molecular weight 325.4242. Quinidine is clinically used mainly for maintenance treatment of atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter after electrical diversion.
